5 I have considered the ^adays of old,
The years of long ago.
6 I will remember my ^bsong in the night;
I ^cwill meditate with my heart,
And my spirit ^{▼▼ Lit searched}ponders:

7 Will the Lord ^ereject forever?
And will He ^fnever be favorable again?
8 Has His ^glovingkindness ceased forever?
Has His ^{▼▼ Lit word
,} ⁱpromise come to an end ^{▼▼ Lit from generation to generation}forever?
9 Has God ^kforgotten to be gracious,
Or has He in anger ^{▼▼ Lit shut up}withdrawn His ^mcompassion? Selah.
